Rappville is a tiny village located 23kms southwest of Casino. It was partially destroyed in Black Summer bushfires leaving some residents homeless and the community devoid of its hall where the locals gathered for social and community functions, gatherings and outreach. With the compound trauma from ensuing floods, tornadoes and bushfire rebuild, a dream of reconnection and resilience was born in the midst of disaster.
David Newby was the creative genius behind the community bus and has been a driving force of determination leading others to help finance, create, and support a dream that would connect an isolated village with the wider community and assist in providing employment, social connections, a sense of safety and inspiration to residents and other small communities devastated by environmental disaster!
The Rappville Community Bus is presented for hire and know when you support us in this venture, you become part of a vision that reaches out and strives for a survival of ordinary people doing extraordinary things!
